The season will run from Early December 2025– mid-February 2026 (with breaks for holidays and school vacations). Games typically start the first week of January. All home games and most away games will try to be played during one of the scheduled weekly practice times to make it easier on players and parents. This also allows coaches one practice a week to work on skills between games.
If school is canceled for the day all Johnson Recreation practices and games are also canceled that day. Practice and games schedules will have breaks for holidays and school vacations.

If there are not enough players for one team, we will have co-ed practices take place at the early time slot on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The local team coordinators will be meeting on November 5th to set the game schedule.

We need families to participate in setting up and taking down the gym before and after practice/games running the clock during games, Keeping the scorebook and selling Concessions at home games. Participating in the annual basketball tournament-selling concessions, selling tickets at the door, selling 50/50 tickets. Distribution and collection of uniforms, Distribution and collection of coach’s equipment and First Aid Kits, please note your CHILDREN can do the majority of these volunteer items……
A signup sheet will be made available after teams are formed. Please see your coaches for more information.
Multiple child discounts will be applied automatically as you select "add another registration".
If you do volunteer in a substantial way, your registration fee will be reimbursed at the end of the season.
